Courage results when one’s convictions are bigger than one’s fears. Words could not be any truer to anyone who witnessed how Rona battled cancer for the past 9 years. Rona refused to quit living her life despite ongoing chemotherapy and radiation, and maintained a courageous outlook and will to live her life to the fullest — witnessing her children grow up to become the remarkable adults she and Gary raised them to be, vacations with her husband Gary across the United States, trips to Florida with her sisters and mother where they enjoyed their special sisterhood bond over games of cards and cocktails in the evening, and spending holidays with her truly large and extended family where everyone present witnessed Rona’s strong and unbreakable attitude in battling cancer. Rona would not want us to feel sorry and grieve her passing, but instead she would ask us to celebrate her life by appreciating and making the most that life offers, and having the same courage Rona had during her battle that we may face in our own lives. With that in mind, Rona’s life will be celebrated with visitation of close family and friends on Friday, March 26, from 1:00 – 8:00 at PITTSBURGH CREMATION AND FUNERAL CARE, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, Pennsylvania 15317. Everyone is welcome to a funeral Mass that will be celebrated on Saturday, March 27 at 10:30 a.m. at St Louise de Marillac, 320 McMurray Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
