Ronald Lee Thomas, age 77, of Pittsburgh’s North Side, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2021. A beloved husband of 46 years to the late Joann Thomas. He was born March 25, 1943 on the West End of Pittsburgh and is the son of the late William and Agnes Thomas. Loving Father of Reagan L. Thomas and Michael (Rebecca Elias) Thomas; grandfather of Michael R. Thomas, Jr.; brother of Nadine (the late Jim) McCoy, Shirlene (the late Louis) Johnson, Bernita Foster and brother-in-law of Fred Jamison and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ronald proudly served in the U.S. Army and the 339th Reserve Unit and worked for the City of Pittsburgh water company where he served for 35 years. He raised homing pigeons and was a member of the National Pigeon Racing Club. He was known to be a stylish dresser and had a beautiful spirit to match. He most enjoyed traveling with his wife Joann and family.

Friends will be received on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 2:30 pm until 6:30 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. Due to COVID restrictions masks and social distancing are required. A private service will be livestreamed on Tuesday, February 23rd at 10:30 am at www.grievefromhome.com. The streaming service will go live 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial with honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
