Ruth was my sister in law but was more like a big sister. Can you imagine being a mother of 3 kids and suddenly a moody 16 year old teenager comes to live with you so she can finish out her senior year at the high school she loved. Ruthie took it all in stride.Helping me practice for drill team try outs and comforting me when I didn't make it. Over the years we kind of lost touch,so I was so happy to get back in touch with both her and Diane. The last few years I was lucky enough to get Ruth & Diane up to our home for a few cook-outs,where she reunited with lots of family members she hadn't seen in quite some time. I'm so glad Diane & Bud were able to make the trip with her.I will miss her greatly.

Ruth was my sister-in-law,but more like a big sister to me.I went to live with Ruth and her family when I was 16 so I could finish my senior year in school that I loved. I was the typical 16 year old with all the drama that comes with it. But Ruth,a mother of 3 young kids, took it all in stride, including helping me practice for drill team tryouts, and comforting me when I didn't make it. As the years went by,we fell out of touch until I found her on facebook. She attended several picnics at our house and was able to reconnect with many other family members. I'm sorry our rekindled friendship was so short.
