Sally A. Mott, 76, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 23, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh on January 25, 1948, to the late Lavera and Wilbur Stebbins.
Sally was the beloved wife of the late LeRoy Mott Jr., with whom she shared 29 blessed years of marriage. Together, they created a beautiful family, which was the center of Sally’s life. She was a loving and devoted mother to Lori Och, a cherished grandmother to Samantha Och, and a dear aunt to Donald Marron Jr. and Pamela Cox. Sally is also survived by many cousins, friends, and loved ones who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marla Jean Marron, who held a special place in her heart.
Sally’s world revolved around her family, and she had an immeasurable love for her husband, daughter, and granddaughter. This love was one of her greatest joys, and it was evident in the treasured traditions she shared with them, such as watching Steeler games on Sundays with her family. Sally also eagerly anticipated the holidays, especially those spent with family and friends, including the special sock party that was a highlight of the season.
Known for her big heart, Sally always put others before herself. She was a selfless, caring woman whose love and kindness touched everyone she knew. Sally’s warmth, generosity, and the way she made others feel valued and loved will be remembered, a testament to the profound impact she had on those around her.
A celebration of life will be held in Sally’s honor at a later date. All arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA 15317.
