Salvatore “Bob” D’Angelo

Salvatore Robert D’Angelo 89 of Carnegie, PA passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was born in Queens, NY, the eldest son of Carrie and Eustachio D’Angelo, “Bob” worked his entire life in the Laboratory Furniture industry and became an icon in the business. He was employed by Fischer Scientific as President of the Conco Division in CT while continuing as Vice President of the Indiana, PA plant.

His band, “The Epics”, were well-known and very popular in the NY and NJ area, with Bob on Sax. They played back up for popular performers at various events in Palisades Park. He also was an excellent Pool shot. As a button collector he enjoyed the history and research. He was treasurer for the Keystone Button Club and a member of the National Button Society. An active participant in Zentangle classes (the mindful art of pen and ink drawing) he enjoyed creating daily.

He and his wife Mary married 44 years ago. After living in many different locations around the country they settled in the San Francisco Bay area for 17 years. Upon retirement they returned to Pittsburgh PA.

He is survived by his wife, and one step child as well as his 6 children, 11 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, from a previous marriage.

He is also survived by his brother and nephew and his sister-in-law.
