Samuel (Sammy) Santeufemia, age 76, of Venice, FL, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2024 surrounded by his family.  Born on April 16, 1948 in Pacentro, Italy, he was the son of the late Maria and Patsy Santeufemia.  Sam is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Cheryl Santeufemia; his loving daughter Shelley (Joel) Santeufemia-Liller, sister Virginia Santeufemia and brother Joe Santeufemia.

He was passionate about his family and embracing life.  A life-long union member, serving as Vice President of the Utility Workers, System Local 537 he fought for stronger benefits, the first 401k, and safer working conditions.  He was constantly telling jokes and trying to get a rise out of people.  He loved Corvettes, owning one for the better part of his life, Penn State Football, little white dogs, and sweets.  He always enjoyed keeping himself busy with his strong work ethic and his favorite pastime was building, fixing, or tinkering, likely in the garage.  He was always available to help a friend or neighbor in need.  When help was needed – Sam was your man.

He was always smiling and will be forever missed.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial on Friday, June 7th, 2024 from 6:00-8:00pm and visitation with service on Saturday, June 8th 2024 from 10:00 -12:00 at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. Words can’t express how sorry I am for you and your family. Sam was such a good guy, the most easy-going person and he was always a good cousin.

Cheryl, so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. So many treasured memories of bowling together. I am proud to say i was on Sams team as one of "Sam's Stingrays." I still have my bright yellow bowling team shirt! We had so much fun and he wasn't a bad bowler either. So glad we had a chance to catch up and see you both recently. We had a great time at the Crows Nest. Sendng prayers for you Shelley, and Joel during this difficult time. We will stay in touch! Love, Jackie n Jack
