Sandra L. Hurt. 82 of Lawrence, formerly of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully after a complicated illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 4, 1943, Sandra was a devoted wife of 57 years to Joseph “Bo”
Hurt. She is survived by her children: Lauren (Jonathan) Wharton of Upper St. Clair, Wendy (Thomas) Balacki of Jacksonville FL, and Benjamin (Chellie) Hurt of Johnstown, PA. She was a cherished grandmother to five grandchildren: Jonathan “Eric” Wharton, Gregory (Allison) Wharton, Abigail Gerlach, Andrew Wharton, and Noah Hurt.
Sandra will be remembered for her love of teaching, reading, her skill at the bridge table, and her passion for collecting seashells. Her warmth, kindness, and zest for life touched everyone who knew her.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on February 1 from 1pm-3pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA, 15317.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to Gateway Hospice, honoring her memory.
