Sandra “Sandy” Long, age 65, of Washington, passed away with family by her side on January 12, 2026.

Born on January 2, 1961, she was the daughter of Russell and the late Julia Dinch.

Beloved companion of Harry “Luke” Lukich; loving mother of Brandi (Michael) Pellegrini; cherished grandmother of Alexis and Tyler Pellegrini; dear sister of Russell David (Erin) Dinch; also survived by a niece and nephews.

Sandy had an exquisite eye for beauty and a deep love of collecting the things that caught her attention and heart. She found joy in everything shiny and bright—a true reflection of the light she brought to those around her. A dedicated shopper, Sandy delighted in the search for that special treasure, always hoping to find the perfect gift for her family and friends. She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger, greeting everyone with genuine interest and kindness. Sandy’s warmth and generosity were unmistakable; she shared them freely with all who crossed her path, leaving a lasting impression of love, joy, and beauty in her wake. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 10 am – 12 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.  Burial will follow at N. Buffalo Cemetery, Washington, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
