Sara B. Lomakin, age 63, of Robinson Township, PA passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Born in Pittsburgh on June 12, 1959 she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Betty Fulton and was the beloved wife of the late Gregory N. Lomakin, whom she always called Skippy.
As a native of Green Tree, Sara worked as a registered nurse where she always brought a smile and a good laugh to her patients and co-workers. She had a wide array of cherished friends across the area and at Slippery Rock Campgrounds in Slippery Rock, where she had a summer home. She was a rabid Steelers fan who would lose her voice with every game, win or lose. Everyone knew not to call her during Steelers’ games or they would get a personal foul. Sara held a special place in her heart for feline companion, Lulu.  She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm for viewing at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care on 5405 Steubenville Pike. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Cemetery on West Manila Avenue in Green Tree. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in honor of Sara to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
