Sara Morgan Holt tragically lost her life in an apartment fire on May 29, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Sara was born on February 21, 1981 in Washington, PA daughter of the late Janice Swan-Holt. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her fiancé, Frankie Cucchiara, grandfather George (Pop Pop) Swan, Aunt Julie Swan, Great Grandmother, Virginia (Nona) Trehar, Aunt Betty-Ann Holt, Aunt Carol Holt, Grandmother Mary Arnold, and Step grandfather Charles Adamski.

Sara is survived by her father, Terrance (Tina) Holt, Plainfield, Indiana. Stepfather, Bernard (Brenda) Froats, Spring Hill, FL. Sister, Melanie (Joshua) Marshman, Washington, PA. Brother, Eric (Nicole) Holt, Washington, PA. Sister, Marissa Staller, Indianapolis, IN. Grandmother, Janice (mop mop) Swan, Hopewell, PA. Aunt Michele (James) Kernick, Moon, PA. Uncles Mark and David Swan, Uncles Eric (FL) and Erroll (Brenda) Holt (UT), Cousins Amanda Swan, Kristina (Kevin) and Ashley Hilt, Nephew Landon Marshman, Nieces Parker, Camryn Holt, and Mischa Staller.

Sara graduated from Trinity High School in 1999 and went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in teaching from California University of PA. Sara resided in Winter Haven, Florida and was an elementary art teacher for several years before moving to Indianapolis, Indiana where she was a full time art therapist. Sara overcame drug addiction and was very proud to be clean for over 18 months living at the Dove Recovery House and Lucille Raines Residence in Indianapolis, IN. Sara dedicated her life to helping others overcome their addictions.

Sara loved art, animals (mostly pitbulls) and always loved helping people. Sara had a unique, kind soul and a contagious laugh and smile. Sara had countless friends and will be missed by many who knew her from past and present.

Sara, fly high and meet Mom, Pop Pop, Nona, Aunt Julie, Sasha, Frankie, and JR at the gates of heaven.

Family and friends are welcome Monday, June 13, 2022 from 2 pm-5 pm with a memorial service to follow at 5 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd. McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.
