Sarah “Sissy” R. Solomon, 78 of Pittsburgh, went to be with the Lord, on September 27, 2024. She was born November 17, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Frank Harp and Ida Scott-Page.

Sissy loved her family above all things. At home she enjoyed Bruce Lee and Godzilla movies, and watching reruns of old TV shows. She loved horses and taking trips to the Dollar Tree to find bargains. Sissy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family. She will be deeply missed by everyone.

Sissy is the loving mother of Perry Brower and the late Sherry Brower-Donaldson; beloved sister of Frankie Harp, the late Harry Harp and the late Billy Harp. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life; TaWanna Brower, Bilal Abbey, Perry Brower, Jr., and Tajanera Brower. She was blessed with 6 great-grandchildren, Tatiana Chaney, Perrion Brower, Sa’Miya Brower, RaeKwon Smith, Shai Lotus Livingston, and Rayna Brower. She is also, survived by several nieces and nephews who she adored.

Friends are welcome on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Metropolitan Baptist Church where her Memorial Service will be held, 22 Sampsonia Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Repast will follow immediately after.

Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.

To Bilal and The Family of Ms. Sarah Solomon, There are truly no words that can express the sadness that we felt upon hearing the news of the passing of this beautiful woman! I had not actually known Ms. Sarah, but knew of her for many years. I had worked with or on the same floor with Sherry at PNC Bank, for 10 years when we accidentally found out that My Mom Josie and Sherry's Mom Ms. Sarah had worked together at Central Blood Bank for many years, were friends, and had been searching for one another, unsuccessfully. Well, by the grace of GOD, we were able to get them back together and I am so happy that we did! They considered themselves as sisters and spoke on the phone laughing and discussing life, just as 2 tight knit sisters would. After Sherry passed, I made sure that I would call her as much as possible to check in on her. And she and Mom would talk often, but after Sherry's passing, it became harder for us to reach her. So, at that point all we could do was pray for her and ask the Lord to bless and keep her. Well, that is what HE did. It broke my heart to have to call my Mom to inform her that Ms. Sarah had gone on to glory, but now I understand the feeling that my Mom probably had on the day that she had to call me to inform me that Sherry had gone on to glory as well. We are sad, but at the same time, we are happy. We are happy because Ms. Sarah and Sherry are back together again. No more pain, sorrow, problems, or confusion! Now you both can enjoy the rewards that Our Heavenly Father has for you! Family, may God wrap His loving arms around you during this sorrowful time. Please know that we will be praying for you all. Please know that we are here for you! God Bless! So Ms. Sarah, we will not say goodbye, only see you later! Ms. Sarah and Sherry, you will forever be in our hearts.
