Sheldon “Sonny” Keeney

Sheldon “Sonny” Keeney, age 80 of Washington passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born January 31, 1942 in Washington, a son of Sheldon and Florence Barrows Keeney. In 1959, he married Ruby Keenan who survives. Mr. Keeney was an Iron Worker with Local 3 Pittsburgh until he retired. During his early years, he played guitar with local bands in the Washington Area.
In addition to his wife Ruby, Sonny is also survived by his three children; Debra Keeney, Richard “Brad” Keeney and Preston Keeney all of Washington; one granddaughter Stephanie (JC) Senay of Washington; two great granddaughters Olivia and McKenna Senay of Washington; a sister Delilah Anderson of Orlando, FL and two nieces and three nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 10 AM – 12 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A memorial service will be held at 12 PM at the funeral home.
