Stephen Anthony Joyce, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 6, 2026. Born on July 26, 1931 he is the son of the late Patrick and Mary Joyce.

Devoted and loving husband to Gloria Joyce to whom he was married for 70 years; Beloved father to Mary Anne (Bill), Patricia (Brad), Stephen (Polly), and Jackie (Joe); Loving Pap Pap to nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was a 28-year veteran of the Pittsburgh Police, spending his final 11 years as the Chief of Detectives.

A visitation will be held on Friday May 8, 2026, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA, 15317. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3482 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA, 15017. My Uncle Steve was an amazing man. Always kind, sincere and generous. He mentored me as a young man and helped me find work when I need to earn money for college in the summers. I loved him and won't forget him. His amazing family left behind has my deepest sympathy. May he be at peace in the arms of his Creator, Savior and LORD Jesus Christ.
