Steven Louis Wussick, 35, of Washington, PA, was taken from us unexpectedly on August 31, 2022.  Surrounded by family, Steve passed peacefully at UPMC Presbyterian from complications of an ongoing medical condition.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Jocelyn Wussick.  They were truly made for – and devoted to each other for 17 years. They were not only husband and wife, but best friends.
Also surviving are his parents, Steven Wussick of Washington, PA and Nita Wussick (Michael Herrera) of Washington, PA; his sister Laura (Corey) Dieterle of Brownsville, PA; his grandmother Faye Koeppelle of Washington, PA and his aunt Christine (Brian) Koeppelle-Dugan of Bethel Park, PA. He is also survived by a close knit group of friends that will all miss him dearly.
Steve graduated from Trinity High School in 2006 and was employed by Aetna Medicare. For many years, Steve was also a chef in several local restaurants, which was his true calling. He loved video games, tie-dying and had a life-long love of music.  Steve showcased his musical talent on multiple instruments and played in competition marching band in high school.
Steve never met a stranger he didn’t like and always saw the glass as half full. He was kind, humble, gentle, and full of laughter that spread to everyone he touched.  He always knew just what to say to make you feel better and gave the best hugs. His bond with his sister Laura was more than special; he was her best friend and protector. His grandparents, Lou and Faye Koeppelle, played a vital role in helping to shape him in his formative years to become the kind-hearted person who was endearing to everyone he met.
Though without children, Steve and Jocelyn were proud “parents” to their two cats Sophie and Jake.
Steve is preceded in death by his sister Carla Wussick, his maternal grandfather, Louis Koeppelle and his paternal grandmother, Martha Wussick.
Arrangements are being handled by Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care. All services are private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Steve was such a fun-loving, genuine person with a wonderful sense of humor. We had many classes together, lunch in high school and spent so much time in marching band and also along side his sister Laura -- such a sincere & warm, kind family. Sending condolences & sympathy to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I just found out today. My heart goes out to you and your family. I was a substitute teacher and had both he and Laura. He was always laid back and nice. Losing a child is the hardest thing a parent can go through. I lost my son in December 2006. You worked with my daughter, Trisha. My prayers go out to you.
