Tammy Lynn Seitz Norton, 64, of Venetia, passed away unexpectedly and went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2024.

Tammy was born on September 4, 1959, in the state of Washington to Dr. Raymond C. Seitz and the late Shirley Seitz.

Tammy was the beloved wife of 34 years to Richard “Rick” Norton, the love of her life. Together, they built a beautiful family. She was the loving mother to Dakota Norton and Sydney Norton and dear sister to Dr. David C. Seitz and his wife Colleen.

Tammy, a hardworking and highly creative individual, graduated from Peters Township High School in 1977. She then joined her mom at their family-owned store, Fashion Gallerie, in Bethel Park. Her creativity thrived at the dress shop, where she excelled in helping customers coordinate the perfect outfit. In her free time, Tammy’s love for cultivating beautiful flowers, doing crafts such as mosaics, and decorating homes was evident. She had a unique talent for turning any house into a beautiful, lived-in home, inspiring those around her with her creativity.

Tammy’s life was a testament to selflessness. Her love language was acts of service, a trait that deeply inspired her family. This was evident in the business she founded, Hearty Welcome. Tammy would personally deliver welcome baskets to new residents, not just with information about the area but also with a listening ear that made them feel genuinely welcome.

In her personal life, Tammy had a deep connection with God; she trusted Him fully and knew the importance of spending time in prayer. One of many favorite Bible verses was Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.”

Tammy’s love for her family was boundless. She was a devoted mother and wife, prioritizing her family’s needs. Her love was unwavering, whether through a delicious meal, wise advice, or simply being the heart of the family. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader. Tammy’s family has many beautiful memories to cherish. The annual family trip to Hilton Head Island, SC, was one such tradition that will last forever. They spent over 20 years visiting one of Tammy’s favorite places. Rick, Dakota, and Sydney were truly blessed to have such an extraordinary wife, mother, and best friend.

Tammy’s absence has left a void that can never be filled. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Every time you witness a beautiful sunset, remember how Tammy touched your life and let her memory bring you comfort.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317. At the family’s request, burial will be private.

“In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:37-39
