Teresa Giordanengo passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025 at Canonsburg Hospital surrounded by her family.She was proceeded in death by her parents, Patsy and Rosina Marmo, her brothers, Joshua Marmo and Daniel Marmo and her sister, Elizabeth Purk.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted son, Scott (Anne-Marie) Viestra, which whom she made her home for many years as well as her loyal and loving grand-dog , Quincy.
Teresa led a vibrant and fulfilling life, rooted in her faith, family, career, and love of music.
After graduating from Canonsburg High School, class of 1952, she embarked on a career in banking that ended with her retirement from PNC Bank after nearly 44 years of service.
Active in many community organizations, Teresa served as president and district director of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, past president of the Canonsburg-Houston Kiwanis Club and treasurer of Canon-McMillan School District for 36 years among many other things.
Even in retirement, Teresa kept busy as manager at Gerraro Piano Showroom and as assistant office manager at Keystone Crane and Hoist.
In her spare time, she enjoyed being a senior consultant/team leader in Mary Kay Cosmetics and traveling, with her trip to Israel and the Holy Land being one of her greatest adventures.
Music, however, was her greatest joy throughout her life. She started playing piano at a very young age and started teaching piano at age 13. She played in her high school band and for many area bands and orchestras, including the Four Coins. She also enjoyed performing for many community events, including fashion shows, holiday balls, BPW events, Canonsburg Chamber of Commerce events, and many more. She was active in the music departments at the Italian Christian Church, Belmont Christian Church, and finally retired as the director of music from the Abundant Life Baptist Church after nearly 20 years of service.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of Canonsburg Hospital that provided compassionate and dignified end-of-life care to Teresa.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care and services will be private.
