Dearest “Miss Courtney” and family - Our hearts are deeply saddened to learn of your mom’s passing. You have held a special place in our hearts, ever since the year you taught preschool to our then bouncy, energetic little four year old girl. The summer you watched her at your family home still holds special memories for us. Your mom made her - and us - feel right at home that summer. She welcomed us, who were perfect strangers to her, with open arms. It has been said that people will never forget the way you made them feel, and I have found this to be true. Your mom had a special way of making people feel welcomed and cherished, like a forever friend. My heart aches, to know that yours is aching right now, in ways that I can’t even imagine. Our hearts are with you as you navigate the coming days. Much love to all of you, from the Monticue family.

Our family was shocked and saddened to learn of Mrs. Sherwin’s passing. We had many interactions with her over the years, both at the junior and senior high schools, and in the neighborhood. She was always friendly, kind, supportive, and sincere. With our deepest sympathy and prayers, Christen, Scott, Tyler, and Garrett Stercho

Terri was like a second mother to me, and I'm sure so, so many. She was incredibly kind and would do anything to help, whenever I needed. A simple conversation or even hello was all it took with her to lift your mood. No words I can type give justice to the person she was, just absolutely one of the best. I know the office in the high school will never be the same.. I can't begin to imagine the loss her family is feeling. My thoughts and prayers <3

To the Sherwin Family - we want to extend to you our deepest sympathy on the passing of your wife, mom and grandmother. We were heartbroken when we heard this tragic news. She was such a loving and kind person to my three children who worked with her in the guidance office during their junior high years. They had a great relationship with her, and I could always count on her if I needed anything. She was a true role model! I will miss our chats when we would meet at church or in the grocery store and talk about our kids and her grandchildren. She talked about them with such love. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Dear Jeff, The last time I saw Terri was a while back when she had the kids at Kennywood. I felt like I was standing in line next to you, but really, I was standing in line next to your sons. There was no mistaking that they were both a “Sherwin”! I am not surprised that she had a love for Disney as well as Kennywood. May your children and their families comfort you. And if prayer will lessen your sorrow, I will give it my best effort. Take care my friend.
