Theresa Martucci Bayer

Theresa Martucci Bayer, 83, of North Strabane Twp, formerly of New Kensington, PA passed away on December 30, 2025. Born on August 8, 1942 in New Kensington, she is the daughter of the late Umberto and Maria (Belli) Martucci.

Beloved wife to Murray Bayer; Loving mother to Meredith Bayer Barbieri and Martin Bayer; Sister to Umberto Martucci, Anthony Martucci, Veronica Bagnato, Madeline Martucci, and Mary Ann Martucci; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was an extremely talented interior designer. She began her career as a teenager working in her family’s furniture store and spent her entire working life in the furniture and interior design industry. She owned and operated Schafer Interiors and Fine Art Gallery in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, for more than 30 years, where she shared her love of beautiful interiors and original artwork with clients, family, and friends.

Theresa was an outstanding cook who loved entertaining. Whether hosting a dinner party, wedding, or a summer party on the patio, her gatherings were always special, and an invitation was coveted. She will be remembered for her sweet, upbeat personality, having never said an unkind word about anyone.

A service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Mount Saint Peter Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068. A celebration of life will immediately follow.
