Thomas H. McCombs III, a resident of Country Meadows Assisted Living, Bridgeville, Pa., formerly of Venetia, Pa passed away peacefully on July 18, 2017.

He was born on July 24, 1924 in Venetia, Pa.

He was a Life time member of the following:

American Legion Morrison-Richie Post 613, Finleyville, Pa.

Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 764, McMurray, Pa. of which he was a past Commander at the time the Township Veteran’s Ambulance Service was conceived.

Member in good standing of Henry M. Phillips Lodge #337 F. & A.M. of Pennsylvania

Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Lodge Council, Chapter Consistory in the Valley of Pittsburgh

Washington-Green Scottish Rite Club of the Valley of Pittsburgh

Syria Shriners A.A.O.N.M.S. of Pittsburgh

He was actively involved and served as President of the Finleyville Cemetery Cooperation for 50 years.

He was a member of Peter’s Creek Evangelical church.

His interests were, nature & animals, travel, reading & square dancing, but mostly his enjoyment came from spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of  74  years, Helen A. McCombs

Son, Thomas IV (Linda), of Las Vegas, Nevada

Daughter, Barbara Clutter (Thomas) of Palm Coast, Florida

4 Grand Children, Linda Bassett(Mark), Kerry Dunn,(Manny),Scott Clutter(Louise) & Matthew Clutter(Sarah)

3 Great-Grandchildren, Kylie Bassett, Summer Clutter, Taylor Clutter and Phoebe Dunn.

At the request of the family there will be no public showing. An informal Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 11 am at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.

A private burial will be held in the Finleyville Cemetery, Finleyville, Pa.

Contributions in memory of the deceased should be made to Finleyville Cemetery Cooperation, Finleyville, Pa. or Amedysis Hospice of Washington, Pa.
