Thomas James Ridgeway III, Age 66, of Pittsburgh, died Thursday, March 10, 2022, in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born June 9, 1955, in Trenton NJ, beloved son of Thomas J Ridgeway, Jr. and the late Dorothy (Rhodes) Ridgeway. He isalso survived by his brothers, John Ridgeway and Bob (Cathy) Ridgeway, and his nephew, Louie Ridgeway and countless friends.  Tom was a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School and lived his entire adult life in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.  Heretired after a long career with First Transit in Bethel Park.  Tom was a faithful member of The DOOR Christian Fellowship Church, in Brentwood.

Tom was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, Steeler and Penguin games being his favorite.  He enjoyed music of all genres and decades – discovering Spotify later in life allowed him to cheerfully reconnect with all his favorites.  He was someone who was perpetually in a good mood and spread joy wherever he went.  Tom loved spending time with his family and friends, his jokes and mannerisms were legendary and could never be forgotten.  Most of all, Tom loved the Lord.  He was a wealth of biblical knowledge and quoted scripture like few could.  Tom eagerly approached friend and stranger alike to tell them about Jesus.  Like David, he was a man after God’s own heart.

Unique.  Special.  Exceptional.  Those that knew Tom recognized what a one-of-a-kind person he was. While he now resides in a far better place, our world will be a little less bright without him in it.

There will be no public visitation. A gathering of remembrance will be planned at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The DOOR Christian Fellowship Church, 3405 Saw Mill Run Blvd, Pittsburgh PA 15227.

Pastor Jeff O’Brien
Tom has graduated from this life to eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We give praise to God above for His faithfulness towards our brother and member of our congregation these past 11 years. His warm sense of humor and friendship will be greatly missed. Sincerely, Pastor O’Brien and the DOOR Christian Fellowship congregation. “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.”
