Thomas John Poskie, 77, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.   He was finally reunited with his wife, Carol LaVerne (nee Moritz) Poskie, who died in 2010.

Tom was born on October 20, 1944, to Beulah (nee Beck) and Sylvester Poskie in Rhinelander, WI.  He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1965 before attending Michigan Tech University and Iowa State University.  He worked in metallurgical engineering his entire career, spending years at Boeing, and later at Bettis Westinghouse Atomic Power Laboratory for 35+ years.

Tom was a passionate Christian, walking with the Lord and using his talents and interests to serve in ministry.  He was an avid outdoorsman and led the Royal Rangers scouting program at South Hills Assembly of God Church for many years.

He called the Mt. Lebanon area of Pittsburgh home from 1972 until his retirement in 2010.  He then re-located to the Fort Mill, SC area.

He is survived by his five children, Julie (Edward) Lackman, Jennifer (Jason Luther) Townsend, Joseph (Kari) Poskie, Kathleen (William) Ashley, and Benjamin (Lauren) Poskie; brother James (Susan) Poskie; sisters MaryAnn (Duane) Frey, and Nancy Stefonik; grandchildren Kali, Samantha, Colton, Gabriel, Caleb, Rebekah, Lily, Vaughn, Pierce, Levi, Evander, Summer, Johanah, Savannah, Syler, Isaac, Natalie, Logan, and Isla; and great-grandchildren Alexia, Bentli, Maddix, and Korbin.

A private visitation will be held followed by interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Friday, June 17, 2022, where he will be laid to rest alongside his beloved soulmate.

It was a joy and privilege to serve the Lord alongside Tom during his years at All Nations Church in Ft Mill, SC. Tom set such an example of a godly man who loved God, his family and his church with such kindness. He will be missed, but we rejoice that he now is face to face with our Savior Jesus. Sending condolences and praying peace for his entire family.
