Thomas P. Karabinos, Jr., age 81,  passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Born July 4, 1943, in Moon Run, Pennsylvania. Preceded in death by his parents Thomas P. Sr. and Julia (Rak) Karabinos and beloved sister-in-law Bobbie (Raymond) Karabinos. Tom is the loving father of Jeff (Shari) Karabinos, Shawn (Rick) Karabinos, John (Betsy) Sutey, and youngest son and best friend Nathan (Anne) Karabinos; cherished grandfather of Lauren and Sarah Karabinos, Annie and Tony Sutey, Abrielle Rendar, and Sydney Lee; great-grandfather of three; brother of Bernadine (Joe) Lawler, Judi Ingelido, Rosemary (Clyde) Schneider, Mark (JoAnne) Karabinos, and Ray (Bobbie) Karabinos.

Tom graduated from Montour High School ‘60 and enlisted into the US Army, the 101st Airborne Division.
Tom was a Moon Run  fireman and continued as an Ingram fireman… when he purchased his home in Ingram Pa, where he was an officer. Tom was a life-long  fabricator and welder. One of his greatest accomplishments  was working on the St. Louis Arch for Pittsburgh DesMoines (PDM), he then worked for Dravo in Neville Island, PA until they closed.
Tom was an avid reader and enjoyed anything and everything in military and world history. Any given day, you could find Tom reading one of his NRA, Smithsonian, or Archeology magazines. Tom also  loved to do cross puzzles  while sitting at his kitchen table with a hot cup of fresh coffee.

Family and friends are welcome for a visitation on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 4:00-8:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. A Blessing Service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 10:30am at the funeral home. Memorial donations in memory of Tom may be made to stjude.org and support.woundedwarriorproject.org
