Thomas Rode Jackson, age 76, of Baldwin, formerly of Robinson Township, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born on January 28, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA, Tom was the beloved son of the late Sylvia and Robert Jackson. He was the devoted husband of 27 years to Mary Jackson, and a loving father to Eric (Diane) Jackson, Amy Jackson, and Katie Jones. He was also a proud stepfather to Leighann Drost and Scott (Heather) Drost.

Tom was a cherished grandfather to Spencer Ross, Cooper Ross, Daymien Drost, and Marley Drost—each of whom brought him great joy. His bond with his grandson Daymien was especially dear to his heart.

He is survived by his siblings Roberta Snee, Robert (Carol) Jackson, and Pauline (Phil) Pruszko. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Emerson Snee and  good friend Joe Garvey. Tom is also remembered fondly by his loyal canine companion, Porkchop.

A true outdoorsman, Tom found peace and adventure in fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. He was an avid Steelers fan and a jokester through and through—his humor and spirited nature remained intact, even in his final days.

Tom was the definition of dedicated, working for Jackson Welding for 53 years, right out of high school. He was a proud and active member of Teamsters Local 249. A man of strong work ethic and stronger heart, Tom made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to AHN Hospice in his memory. Per the family’s wishes, all arrangements have been made private.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
