Thomas S. Paholsky, age 91, of Bridgeville, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Born on November 6, 1929 in Bridgeville, PA, he was the son of the late Mary and Steven Paholsky. Beloved husband to the late Alma A. (Moore) Paholsky for 62 years. Loving father to Mary A. Poehlmann, Thomas J. Paholsky, and Anne M. Cregg. Cherished Pop-Pop to Laura (Peter) Bianco, David Poehlmann, Andrea (Cody) Teitman, Jessica Paholsky, Jonathan Paholsky, Leanna Cregg, and Alex Cregg. Loving great grandfather to Olivia, Angela, Luca, Regina, and John Bianco. Dear brother to Richard Paholsky and the late Ernest Paholsky.
Tom was a proud veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and spent his professional career as a purchasing agent for Koppers and ARCO Chemical. He was known for his honesty and integrity. Tom was the ultimate DIY (do it yourselfer), whether it be cars, home projects, or woodworking. His vast and well-organized tool collection was the envy of all. Tom and Alma were long-standing members of Holy Child Parish and participated in the choirs at Holy Child and St. Barbara Parishes. They enjoyed traveling to see family and various places in the US and Europe and going to symphony and concert performances. Most importantly, Tom cherished the time he spent with Alma and their family and will be dearly missed by all.
A private memorial service will be held at Holy Child Parish and burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carmelite Monastery of the Holy Cross, PO Box 397, Iron Mountain, MI 49801 or Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
