I worked with Todd for many years and he demonstrated the leadership and technical skills that distinguishes him among the very best leaders and team members that anyone can hope to have in their lives. My career was blessed to have him in it. I send my sympathy to his family and friends. He will be truly missed.

Dear Beverly, I remember all the good times we had when you were here in the 90's- so happy that I got to see Todd in May and that we shared some of the happy-funny stories of when he was here in the office with us. Memories are something we keep close to our heart. He was truly one-of-a-kind and he will be forever missed. My love and blessings to you and Kevin and Jenna; please know that you are all in my thoughts and my prayers.

Thankfully his suffering is over. May he rest in peace. He will be remembered by so many of his KAPL reports as a true leader. It was evident family was important to him. He was all about caring for your family first and then figuring out how the work would get done. God bless his family at this difficult time.

I worked with Todd when he was an engineer in S6W and was involved with him in meetings after he got into management. He was a great guy, always upbeat in our encounters. He was a person you enjoyed being around. I’m sorry he had to pass at such a young age. You have my sympathy. John Lobritz

I knew Todd as a excellent engineer, leader, and friend. I feel fortunate that I got to work with Todd and to play with him in the Bettis golf league and on golfing trips to Myrtle Beach and Orlando. I'm so glad I got to enjoy time with him last September and October playing golf. For his dedication to excellence, and his love of life and family, he will be missed by everyone who worked with or knew him socially.

I am very sad to learn of Todd's passing. We became good friends when were both younger at the beginning of our careers at Bettis. He was one of the most grounded individuals I have known, with a keen wit and great sense of humor. I will miss him dearly. It is with great humility and respect that I offer my condolences to his family. Please know that he has touched many of us who have known and worked with him, and he will be remembered fondly in our hearts and minds. God Bless...

I am very sorry to hear this. Todd was an excellent engineer, a wise and caring leader and a wonderful human being. I remember when he started as a young man in the S6W project and he stood out right away as someone exceptional. That carried on throughout the years and I am thankful for the help and insight he gave me as my manager. I will always remember that big grin, friendly humor and compassionate leadership. What a loss. My condolences to his family - please know that Todd meant so much to many of us at Bettis.

Dearest Bev, Kevin, and Jenna. As you probably know, I met and worked with your husband and father beginning with his very first day at Bettis. Please believe me when I tell you that Todd possessed the finest engineering savvy that I've ever seen in an engineer. And, as he rose in the management ranks, I observed in him rare and unique leadership qualities; hence his universal respect among managers and non-managers alike. I also enjoyed golfing in Todd's foursome for many years. I have been praying for your family ever since he was first diagnosed with cancer and will continue to pray for Christ's peace and comfort upon all who loved and were touched in some way by Todd.

Dear Beverly, it's only been a short time ago that we were praying that Todd would get better and then more recently, sadly, praying that the suffering would end and that God would take him. Although it is a relief that his suffering has ended, we are filled with grief that we will no longer spend time with him. Memories are what we have and I cheerish the time I spent with Todd. He was, as many have said, a wonderful person, a true leader, a very humble person, a very caring person and a great friend. He truly cared for the people that reported to him and treated everyone with respect and dignity. My condolences go out to you and your family and to all those that knew and loved Todd.

Growing up in Pittsburgh there were 3 men that I looked up to as the prototypical father figure that I wanted to be one day. Obviously my own father was one of them, but Mr Burg was another. He was always calm, cool tempered, quick witted, and had a cordial demeanor. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Burgs during this difficult time.

In the blink of an eye something happens in your life that you least expect. For his family and close friends I know that Todd's kind demeanor, quick wit and humor will be a few of the awesome aspects of his life that will be remember fondly. Since I had the opportunity to be in his presence over his last few months.. just had to share with the world that his rational (of course) acceptance, dignity, and genuine love for his family and friends made an inspirational impact on my life that I feel blessed to have witnessed. Lucky us to have known him. Will always be missed but, for sure, never forgotten.

Dear Beverly, Kevin and Jenna, Our sincere sympathy to all of you. We were blessed to have such wonderful neighbors. Todd was always so friendly and kind. From reading all of the tributes to him, he was obviously very talented and humble as well. We were so very encouraged to see him walking around the neighborhood after the stroke. However, our Lord had other plans for Todd. Please know that we will be here if you need anything. We pray for healing for your family. Blessings, Mark & Kim Jackson PS Jenna, you made a gorgeous bride. Loved your video!
