Vianne Medice

Vianne Medice, 86, of Whitehall Borough, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2026.

Born on August 28, 1939, Vianne was the beloved daughter of the late Howard Glenn and Anne May Painter.

Vianne was an energetic and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose vibrant personality left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She enjoyed listening to sports talk shows, discussing politics, watching classic movies and television shows, and sharing her thoughts and perspectives with family and friends.

She loved to travel and especially treasured her many trips to Las Vegas and cruises with her beloved longtime companion, Ron Reich. Together, they shared a spirit of adventure, exploring new places, enjoying life, and creating many wonderful memories along the way.

A devoted Pittsburgh sports fan, Vianne faithfully cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates through every season.

Above all, Vianne treasured her family and the people she loved. She shared many wonderful years with Ron, whose love, devotion, and companionship brought her great happiness. She was the beloved mother of Glenn (Laura) Medice, Mark (Leslie) Medice, Kelly (Richard) Horton, and the late Scott Medice. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Christian Medice, Megan Wetzler, Riley Horton, Alec Medice, and Jonathan Medice, and the cherished great-grandmother of Piper Wetzler and Gabriella Wetzler, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents, Vianne was preceded in death by her son, Scott Medice, and her sister, Barbara.

Vianne will be remembered for her compassion, determination, independent spirit, and, above all, her deep love for her family. She will be greatly missed, but the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely will remain with those who knew and loved her.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care. Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Vianne’s life, to be held in the coming weeks. Additional details will be shared by the family as arrangements are finalized.
