Virginia Joy Buttermore, age 88, of Charleroi passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018.

She was the loving mother of Karen and husband Kevin Smith; cherished grandmother of Breanne Buttermore (Fiancé Chris Friend), Taylor Smith (Boyfriend Josh Yurkovich), and Kristen Lessman (Husband Chris), Robbie and Nikki; and great grandmother of Teagan, Zachary, and Noah.

She is preceeded in death by her children, Linda Sue Buttermore and Robert Paul “Boo” Buttermore.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be no services.

Grammy was a wonderful woman, full of life and a lot of fun to be around. She's always treated me well and was never too shy to give me a hug when I needed it. I will miss her, but I'm glad that her suffering has ended. My warmest condolences and dearest sympathies to those who are left behind.

Joy was one of our favorite ladies at the building where my mother lived. We looked forward to chats with her and visits from her beloved cat Sugar. After my mother passed we kept in touch with Joy through visits whenever we were in town as well as cards. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Richard and Alexi
