He enjoyed a long career, working for Loftus Furnace, Holcroft, Thermo-Electron, Chester Engineers, and the World Trade Center. His work took him to many foreign countries in Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle East and Africa. Wayne adored his family, and loved to watch Pitt football, especially during the years when his son was on the team. Wayne has many dear friends, some of whom he will greet in heaven to strike up a poker game. He was the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, nephew and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A private ceremony will be held for family and close friends on Friday March 12, 2021 at St. Benedict Abbot Church in Peters Township, followed by a service at Queen of Heaven cemetery. A larger celebration of his life will be held in his honor in July. Salude Papa, Amore.

Dear Mary Lou, we were so sorry to learn that Wayne has passed away. We will always cherish our many great memories of you and Wayne at IHEA meetings. Your son Wayne Jr’s TV ads always brought back those wonderful memories. Please accept our sincere condolences. Jim and Nancy Johns

Wayne DiBartola was the greatest mentor for me at Loftus Engineers, even when we were acquired by a strange company, Western Gear, from the West Coast. Over the years I would see Wayne by chance since Pittsburgh is a big city but quite parochial. The last time was while having dinner with friends after a Pitt Football Game at Piccolina's. Wayne and his lovely wife, Mary Louise, were at an adjacent table. Wayne will surely be missed by family and friends.

Dear DiBartola family, Sincere condolences on the passing of Wayne. He was a great friend of my father Tony who will be welcoming Wayne to the poker table in heaven. Sending prayers and hoping that the good Lord brings you peace during these difficult times. Michael L and family

Wayne will be greeted by many members of the class of '51 from Baldwin. I know my parents, Wilma and Lee Irwin will be among them. My sympathy to the family members.

Renee, Marylou and family, I am so sorry to see this. Your Mom and Dad were such dear friends of my parents in their years as members of Valley Brook CC. Every time I went to dinner there and saw them, they were always so welcoming and genuinely interested in what my children and family were up to. Know that Dad and Mom are now welcoming your Dad in heaven. My sympathies, Joanne Albera Mace
