William G. Acor

William G. “Bill” Acor, 87, of Claysville, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026.

Born on December 3, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bill was the son of the late Robert J. Acor and Betty Gay Brown Acor.

Bill shared more than 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Patricia A. Reno Acor, whom he married on May 6, 1966. Together they built a loving family and a life centered around hard work, friendship, and the simple joys of country living.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia; his children, William J. “Billy” (Katie) Acor, Robert (Julie) Acor, and Lori (William “Bill”) Kraft; his cherished grandchildren, Madison Acor, Keely Acor (Dalton Stansick), Gabrielle (Levi) Price, Gloria Acor, Luke Acor, Kinsey Kraft, and Delaney Kraft; his great-grandchild, Tekoa O. Price; his sister, Nancy Bertelsen; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. He also leaves behind special friends Sonny and Joyce Morris and Janice Kelly, whose friendship meant so much to him throughout the years.

Bill dedicated more than 35 years of service to Bell Telephone, later known as AT&T. Outside of his career, he was deeply involved in the community as a 4-H leader and horse show judge for many years. He had a lifelong love for Appaloosa horses and took great pride in the animals he cared for on his farm.

Bill enjoyed crossword puzzles, classic country music from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, and spending time with his family and friends. He adored his faithful dog, Ellie, and his cat, Chip. Known for his strong will and stubborn streak, Bill’s family will fondly remember him as a hardworking man with a generous heart, a deep love for his family, and an unwavering appreciation for the life he built.

Whether tending to the farm, spending time with loved ones, or simply enjoying the day, Bill could almost always be found wearing his signature cowboy boots and jeans.

Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.

Bill’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
