William H. Stewart Jr., age 99 of McDonald, PA passed away on November 17, 2025.

Born on September 24, 1926, he was the son of the late William and Anna Stewart.

He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor Stewart; Loving father of Shirley (Robert) Schut and Betty (James) King; Cherished grandfather of Lori (Jonathan) Heffer, Amy (Aaron) Schomer, Deborah (Jonathan) Zygmunt, Lori (Peter) Helisek; Great Grandfather of Tyler (Anna) Heffer, Cole (Lydia) Heffer, Katie Schomer, Kyle (Madeline) Schomer, Brianna Schomer, David (Sami) Schomer, Andy Zygmunt, Ryan Zygmunt, Nicole Zygmunt and Owen Helisek; Great Great Grandfather of Jet Schomer, Ace Schomer and Mac Schomer; dear brother of Ridley (Patty) Stewart and Louis (Loretta) Stewart; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

William worked at Yenko Chevrolet and Yenko Honda for 54 years. He found deep fulfillment in woodworking, where each piece he created reflected not only his skill but the care and intention he poured into every grain of wood.

William was equally devoted to the elegant simplicity of crossword puzzles. He approached each clue with the same focus he gave his woodwork, savoring the challenge, the logic, and the small daily triumph of a completed grid. He was always willing to help a family member, friend, neighbor, or even someone he didn’t know. In the process he was able to bless many lives.
