William Harvey Leist, age 74 of Ginger Hill, PA passed away with his son by his side on April 18, 2017.
Born on November 13, 1942 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Carmelita and William Leist.
He was the beloved husband of the late Janice Ann Leist; loving father of Gregory Douglas Leist; and dear brother of Lois.
Bill enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader. Above all he loved volunteering for The Make A Wish Foundation and Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was a proud US Navy Veteran. Bill was an avid hobbiest who loved model trains.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 11 am – 1 pm at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. Burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will take place immediately to follow at 1:30 pm with Full Military Honors.
