Terrell Kenneth McNeely, who was only 31 years old, went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2024. Terrell was born on October 13, 1992, at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, New York. Terrell grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School. He later attended Slippery Rock University.
Terrell was a fun-loving young man who lived life to the fullest. Terrell enjoyed baseball, rap, dancing, and being the life of the party. His effervescent personality and bright smile allowed him to illuminate and command the room when he entered. However, Terrell was more than fun to be around. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out. Terrell had a big heart and cared deeply for the people around him.
In addition, Terrell possessed incredible strength—a strength that undoubtedly helped him deal with physical infirmities. From birth, Terrell had to live with Sickle Cell Disease. Despite the debilitating nature of the illness, he refused to be a victim. Instead, Terrell pushed through pain to seize life every day and leave a legacy of love and happiness for his friends and family. Terrell fought the good fight of faith but has now laid hold to eternal life. Despite his short life, Terrell made an impact in the lives of the people he encountered, and he will forever be missed. Joyfully, Terrell made a profession of Christian faith, and we take solace in the fact that we will see him again.
Terrell was predeceased by his grandparents Philip Davis and Deborah McNeely-Davis, his uncle Anthony Hawkins, and his daughter Ava McNeely.
Terrell’s legacy of love and laughter will be continued by his parents Patrice McNeely and Terrence (Debra) Legree; three children, sons A’vonn McNeely and A’vell Anthony McNeely and stepson, A’zaveon Hester. Eight siblings, which include four brothers Tyrice McNeely, Anthony Scott III, Aaron Tyler, and Triston Legree, a sister Tyanna Legree. a half-brother Noah Lewis, and two half-sisters Yasmeen Rogers and NeTanya Rogers. Terrell is also survived by his grandmother Delores Legree; a great aunt Marlene Walker Brown; three aunts Denise (Frederick) Arnold, Hafeezah Legree, and Chaniqua Hawkins; an uncle Byron Haynes; and a host of relatives and friends.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136, where his Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00am.
