My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of a wonderful man. I will always remember fondly the good times we spent together in the "community dance band". He was a wonderful man, and a caring administrator.

May God Bless your family as you go through this difficult time. Mr. Bender was the real "Mr. Holland" during my years at AC Valley. He was the best. Just like the movie, there are many, many people who are thankful to have had a teacher that could instill such a love of music. Mr. Bender, my saxophone and I thank you.
