Adeline Spinosa Colusci passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, after having lived 100 good years and 2 bad weeks.

Born February 1, 1923 in Meadowlands, PA, the only child to Salvatore “Sam” Spinosa and Maria DiSantis Monaco Spinosa, immigrants from Introdacqua, Italy.

She was the loving wife of Samuel Colusci, who preceded her in death in April, 2005. Knowing each other since childhood, the high school sweethearts shared 63 years of marriage, built a life, a home and a successful family business; Sam Colusci Transmission Service in Canonsburg, PA where she lived all of her life.

Mother of Dennis (Linda) Colusci and Donna (Frank) Milito, whom she loved beyond measure, along with her grandchildren Dawn Wallace (Kenny) Sturgill, Damon (Melanie) Colusci, Nathan Colusci, Nicolas Milito and Anthony Milito (deceased), and great grandchildren Liam, Jackson and Matthew Colusci and Lauren, Alexander and Benjamin Wallace. She was also the loving aunt and second mother to many nieces and nephews, friends and family.

Proud of her Italian heritage, she was a true lover of life and family, giving, caring, loving and sharing. She was a fantastic cook and gracious hostess to all who entered her home, family and friends too numerous to count.

She, along with her husband, loved to travel. Trips to Mexico, Aruba, Las Vegas, Atlantic City and especially Italy, were the highlights of her life besides her family. She looked forward to excursions to the local casinos along with her lady friends, especially her best friend of later years, Rose Yorke. She was loved and respected by all who knew her, old friends of Canonsburg and new friends of Greensburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Ida Spinosa (Sam) Mastrangelo, Elda Spinosa (Joe) Meggyesy, Elio (Bella) Spinosa, Lydia Spinosa (Albert) Mark and Mario (Barbara) Monaco.

The family extends their deepest appreciation to all the doctors, nurses, support staff and care givers at Excela Westmoreland Hospital, along with RNC of Greater Pittsburgh for the loving care and attention during her final days, as well as the concern and support of dear friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALM Foundation, Greensburg, PA, Anthony Milito, Children’s Charity, Canonsburg Hospital, Police, or Fire Departments.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 10:00- 12:00 at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317. A private burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, PA.

Sorry to hear of your loss. What a full life is a tribute to a life well spent. She was so vibrant all the time. It was 100 years well spent. When I look at the short time we spend on earth , it reminds me to keep you're eye on the prize and to look forward to hear "Well done good and faithful servant" You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord

Dennis and Donna I want to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your mother. I was thinking of her the other day especially when I drive past Forest Lawn Gardens where you father was buried. Your mother was a lovely person and I enjoyed the years dealing with her at Colusci Transmission. She always told me the way it was and always put me in my place. The picture of Sam and I at Chartiers CC still sits on my credenza as we played in the member guest golf tournament. They were both special people in my life. We are leaving town tomorrow morning and Amy and I will not be able to express our deepest sympathy in person. Once again our deepest sympathy. She lived a good life. Frank and Amy Palermo
