Albert E. Gucker III, age 73, of North Strabane, PA passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on May 8, 2024.
Born on May 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Ruth Kenny Gucker and Albert E. Gucker II.

Beloved husband of Carolyn A. Gucker; loving father of David (Lisa) Gucker and Jared (Brady) Murray; cherished grandfather of Samantha Gucker, David Gucker Jr., Jade Murray and Piper Murray; dear brother of Thomas (the late Barbara) Gucker, and the late Barbara (surviving: William) Richards; uncle of Richard, Patrick and Christopher Creek, Justin and Christopher Richards, and Angela and Thomas Gucker.

Albert loved anything with an engine, including antique cars and motorcycles. He had a passion for riding and was a proud, long time member of the Washington, PA Harley Owners Group. He was a 32nd level Mason, Shriner, and an avid collector of all things. In his 30-year career at US Steel, he took pride in contributing to the nation’s growth, a testament to his dedication. He also started a successful concession business, making and selling Goat’s Milk Fudge, later switching gears with “The Real McCoy” Sweet Country Sausage Sandwiches. In his spare time, Albert enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, working on his cars, and tinkering. Albert strongly believed in function over aesthetics (to Carolyn’s irritation), but he truly could fix anything with little to no parts or the right tools. He has been a lifelong supporter of all of Pittsburgh’s sports teams, but enjoyed watching NASCAR the most. Albert was a big personality with a big heart that will be genuinely missed by all who knew and loved him, especially by his sidekick and constant companion, Poncho.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10 am – 12 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens. If you have a motorcycle, please ride and take part in the procession.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local charity in need.
