James Baker Frost

James Baker Frost,Age 95 of Mt. Lebanon, born on August 5, 1919,  formerly of Canton, Ohio. Died April 20, 2015 at Baptist Homes Nursing Center after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. He loved to play guitar, piano, and organ and to sing and play with his children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Part of “The Greatest Generation,” James was a Captain in the Army of the United States, serving in France, Germany, and Italy. A graduate of Wilkinsburg High School and Grove City College, he earned a CPA and was a long time member of Financial Executives International while holding leadership positions with several corporations.
He was devoted to his beautiful wife of 60 years, the former Marjorie Johnston of Donora (deceased). He is survived by siblings Katharine Rathmann (Seminole, FL), Leslie Frost (Pittsburgh with wife Marianne), and Richard Frost (Rochester, NY), son Scott Frost (Pittsburgh with wife Nancy), daughter Suzanne Frost (Mt. Shasta, CA), grandchildren Eric Frost (Seattle with wife Erica Finsness), Emily Hendrickson (Pittsburgh with husband Andrew Hendrickson), and Grace Rosen (Boston), and great granddaughter Eleanor Frost.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 799 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, PA 15228.
