When I started in the KO Administration Offices, Dr. O’Donnell was my “go to” principal. He was always helping me understand different KOHS policies and procedures. Dr. O’Donnell was always there for the students, staff, and parents - an asset to the District. Blessings and peace to him and his family.

I was hired as a permanent substitute seventh grade English teacher on Jan 23, 1983. Dr O’Donnell came to observe my class on Valentine’s Day. I’m sure he could tell I was nervous as my class and I worked on identifying baby pictures of the students taped to the chalkboard, while learning how to write autobiographies. After Dr O’Donnell left, I found a highly encouraging note of approval written over a hand drawn valentine. He made my first experience teaching in a public school a happy experience. As a former nun, I was so pleased I had applied to Keystone Oaks, where the staff was as dedicated as in any Catholic school in which I had taught. The following years only proved my opinion true. Graces and blessings be upon him and his family.

Dr. O’Donnell was respected as an educator by all of us who worked with him at KO. My sympathies to his family.
