Timothy Andrew Wilson, 57, passed away on 8-16-23 at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital from Bronchiolitis obliterans, a lung disease from exposure to toxic burn pits during the Gulf War.

Tim was born in Everett, PA on May 10, 1966, the youngest child of Charles H and M Margaret (Imgrund) Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and, brothers Ronald (Susan), Patrick (Diane), and Rodger (Liz). He is survived by daughter Ashley Lewis (Matt) and step-grandson Alex Lewis, siblings Sheila (Peter) Sutherland, Larry (Kwi Suk), and Peggi (Dave) Williams, companion Aimee Benitez, bonus child Alexander Good and his beloved therapy pup Maya.
Tim was a graduate of Bedford High School, and served with the US Army from 1985-1991, based in Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was deployed to Germany, and to Saudi Arabia as a Fire Directions Specialist during the Gulf War. Post-service, he earned a BS degree from Shippensburg University (social work/gerontology), and worked in carpentry, at DBHS, Pennknoll Village, and Area Agency on Aging. He was a therapist at heart and felt most comfortable listening to others’ problems and worries, offering them compassion in their moments of need.
Tim enjoyed carpentry, birding, kayaking, hiking, mushrooming, gardening, music, and travel. He was a quick-witted teller of dad jokes, master of sarcasm, and a frequent instigator of thoughtful arguments.
Memorial arrangements will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Lung Association for research, or to the Fisher House for care of VA families:
