Marie A. O’Reilly

Marie A. O’Reilly, age 91, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 5, 2022.

Born on August 10, 1931 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Joseph Ayres.

She was the beloved wife of the late James P. O’Reilly; loving mother of Terry (Eileen Holm) O’Reilly, Stephen (Miralda) O’Reilly, Michael (Janine) O’Reilly, Suzanne (James) Dietzel and the late James O’Reilly; grandmother of Timothy (Leah), Christopher, Kevin, Jennifer, Patrick, Conor, Aidan, and Andrew; great grandmother of Wesley, Maison, Manning, Maraya, and Maylani; dear sister of Patricia (the late Daniel) Monahan and Joseph (Maureen) Ayres; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In the 1960s, Marie and her family moved to Pittsburgh, making Upper St. Clair their home.  After raising her 5 children she volunteered frequently for Meals on Wheels in Bridgeville. In 2006 she moved to Bethel Park, and lived independently until just recently.

She was a longtime member of St. Agatha’s Roman Catholic Parish in Bridgeville; of late, she was a member of St. Thomas More Parish.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at a later date.
