Mildred “Dolly” Blumling

Mildred “Dolly” Blumling, age 93, of Robinson Township, passed on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Born on April 9, 1931 in Moon Run, PA, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Pierce. Beloved wife of the late William L. “Bunkie” Blumling. Loving mother of Diane (Hank Whitecotton) Blumling, Susan (the late Joseph) Bonkowski, Michelle (Red) Givvin, the late Ellen “Lynn” (Bernie) Neuwirth, the late Randy Blumling, and the late Stacey (Dan) Cavallo. Grandmother of Eric and Jason Neuwirth, Jodi and Chad Kaminski, Brandi (Bonkowski) Smith, Jillian Bonkowski, and Tyler Givvin. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dolly was preceded in death by her siblings Janet Lipscomb, Ann Guzel, and Frank, Henry, Charles, Edward, and William Mochnick.

A lifelong resident of Robinson Township, Dolly dedicated her life to the noble role of homemaker, keeping her house free of dust until the end. Her baking was just as legendary as her housekeeping and her famous Christmas cookies added an extra dash of sweetness to the holiday season.

Dolly was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Church (Archangel Gabriel Parish) where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 10:00 am at Archangel Gabriel Parish (Holy Trinity Church) 5718 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136.
