Melissa Ann Dyer, 52 of McKees Rocks, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Friday, April 26, 2024. She was born on August 18, 1971, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Phillip and the late Esperanza “Hope” Smith. Melissa is survived by her partner Shawn Townsend; her children, Erin (Joseph Butler) Glanz, Shayne (Lisa) Glanz, and Kyrsten (Dan) Apitsch; brothers, Jerry and Henry Smith; sisters, Toni Mandeville and April Piotrowski; grandchildren, Joseph, Kassandra, Cambria, Daisy, Eva, Jovah, Damien, Jayden, Lucas, Phoenix, and Kaiyla; also, many nieces and nephews.
Melissa’s favorite thing to do was to be around family and to have family gatherings for the holidays. She loved going to the zoo and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved very much. She loved to party and have a good time. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and having a margarita or two. Melissa also loved visiting her hometown of Michigan City, Indiana.
Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA. A Celebration of Life will be announced later.
