Donna M. Keenan, age 79, of Oakdale, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September, 16, 2020.

Born on July 13, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edith “Edie” and Frederick “Fritz” Zimmer.

She was the loving mother of Sharon (Dave) Costantino and Renee (Todd) Revtai; cherished grandmother of Jess, Ryan, CJ, Zac, Jake, and Fur baby Maxx; dear sister of Sandra (Nick) Fedorko and the late Donald Zimmer; Aunt of Evan (Rebecca) and Matt (Rachel), also survived by great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by long-time companion Thomas J. Dormer.

Donna worked in the insurance industry for many years as an insurance underwriter where she was highly respected. She was a long-time member of The Insurance Club of Pittsburgh, where she served on the board of directors, was President of the organization, I-Day Chairman, and Insurance Person of the Year.  Even after retirement, she continued to attend events and serve on the planning committee for I-Day.  She was an avid reader throughout her life and after retirement enjoyed spending time gardening.  Donna loved to travel and her and Tom enjoyed many vacations relaxing on the beach.  She loved to entertain and enjoyed having friends and family to her home on holidays or to just relax over a cocktail. She had a way of always making everyone feel welcome and loved.

Although Donna only had two daughters, she was “Mom” or “Grandma Donna” to many.  She always made time for everyone and was quick to offer words of encouragement.  She believed in putting others before herself and even in her final days, continued to show love and concern for her family and friends. She was a truly beautiful woman, inside and out and her love, kindness, generosity, and compassion will live on through everyone that was blessed to know her.  She will be remembered fondly and missed by many.

A memorial service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 a t 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church, 7322 Noblestown Rd, Oakdale, PA 15071.

Dear Renee and Sharon, My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mom. I met her @ Zurich back in 1975, always such a sweet, loving person and always there to lend a helping hand to whoever. Know that her first love was always her family, so proud of her girls and her grandchildren. We all have good memories of your mom over the years. She will be missed deeply and will always remain in our hearts.

Our deepest and sincere condolences to Donna's family and friends. Donna was so caring and loving and made being her friend so easy and natural. Her constant worrying for us was like a mother hen. She loved entertaining and having everyone over; which made us all feel like family. We will miss her dearly and the house across the street will never be the same. It's just too empty now. Sleep peacefully with our Lord, Dear Donna. Love Barb and John

Donna was my 2nd cousin who was always kind and considerate to our family. I have fond memories of visiting her family's home as a young boy, and of her being at our wedding. I pray for all of you, members of her family.
