Andrew Paul (Ted) Nagy

Andrew Paul (Ted) Nagy passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the age of 82.  Ted was born on January 18, 1931 in Washington, PA, and is the son of the late John and Anna Nagy.

Ted graduated from Trinity High School in 1949 where he played on the 1948 Trinity High School championship football team, which earned him induction into the Pennsylvania Football Hall of Fame.  After high school, Mr. Nagy served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1951-1955 on the U.S.S. Oriskany.  Upon his return to the states, he entered the family trade of masonry, which remained his career until his retirement. 

Ted met his wife, Nila Jean Camino Nagy, while working on an addition to the Washington Hospital, where the future Mrs. Nagy was a nursing student.  They were married on June 8, 1956. 

Surviving in addition to his wife of 56 years are two sons, Michael Nagy (Carol) of Chapel Hill, NC and Mark Nagy (Diana) of Canonsburg, PA and four loving grandchildren, Andrew, Alexander, Katherine and Nilan.

Ted was a member of the Avery Methodist Church in Washington, PA.

At the request of the family all funeral services will be private.
