Dianne E. Schavolt , Age 76, of Imperial passed peacefully at home on Monday, February 11, 2019. Dianne was born October 28, 1942, in Moon Run and grew up on Schorrs Dairy Farm. She was a graduate of Montour High School, class of 1960, where she was a cheerleader. After high school, she worked as a key punch operator for Elijer Corp. Her favorite job was that of wife and mother.

She married Dennis Schavolt on January 25, 1964 and recently celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary. They had three children, Denise (Doug) Schiff, Dennis Schavolt Jr., and Dean (Cindy) Schavolt. Grandmother to Matthew (Jena) Schiff, Ashley Schiff, Dillon Schavolt, and Brooke Schavolt. Great-grandmother to Maverick and Gage Schiff. Survived by sister Beverly Shoup, sister-in-law Sophia Schorr, nephew Dwain Schorr, nieces Lorrie (Ed) Slonchka, Nadine (Chris) Gadsby, Cindy (Mark) Usenicnik, Christine (Paul) Trapizona, Teresa (Ronald) Barrett, and many great nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by parents Conrad and Martha Schorr, brothers Conrad Schorr and Kenneth Schorr, and neice Lynn-ann Schorr.

Dianne was a hard worker and loved life’s simple pleasures. She was an excellent baker, seamstress, crafter, and shopper. She also enjoyed canning and made excellent jelly and applesauce. She enjoyed summer trips to the beach with her young family and long trips to Montana with her husband. She loved supporting her kids and grandkids at their sporting events and competitions.

Family and friends welcome on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 10:00am. Interment to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
