Donald R. Castriota, age 83 of Ingram, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019. He was born in Pittsburgh on September 14, 1936, the son of the late Anthony and Violet Pugliese Castriota. Beloved husband for 58 years of Patricia Blanc Castriota ; loving father of Lisa Castriota LaSapio, and her husband Timothy, Patricia Castriota Girod, Anthony Castriota and his wife Vicki-Marie, Michelle and Robert Castriota; adoring grandfather of Elizabeth LaSapio Catelli and her husband Michael, Anthony, Nicholas and Gianna Girod; great-grandfather of Angelina Catelli; predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Louis and Anthony Castriota, as well as his sister Rose Castriota Pugliese; also many nieces and nephews.

A salesman, he sold everything from water proofing for basements to funeral plots. He worked for Mack Trucks for over 20 years. Donald was a talented singer and member of the former Pittsburgh bands :The Four Counts and Dante & the Infernos. He was also a member of the world champion barber shop chorus The Dapper Dans of Harmony, Livingston, New Jersey. He was a veteran, training as an army medic. He was a good friend and confident to many. He loved watching sports and old movies on TV, cooking, music and his family.

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 2:00 pm followed by a gathering of family and friends until 5:00 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. Memorial contributions in Donald’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospitals, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org.
