Kathleen Caslin Niederberger, 77, of Bridgeville, PA, passed away after a battle with Parkinsons and Dementia on October 27, 2023, with her family by her side.

Kathleen was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 22, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Caslin.

Beloved wife of 53 years to Regis Niederberger

Loving mother to Lori (Mike) Christ, Eric (Yvonne) Niederberger, and Scott (Casie) Niederberger. Cherished grandmother to Mike Jr., Matt (Sarah), Tommy, Jackie, Jimmy, Katie, Charlie, Raegan, Mack, and Ryan. Dear Sister to Dorothy (John) Auth and Sister-in-Law to Cindy Caslin. Kathleen was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Caslin Jr.

Kathleen, a classy, social woman who devoted 37 years of her life working at Stephen Szabo Salon, built many lifelong relationships in the community. Kathleen lived for her grandchildren. She rarely missed a sporting event or a school activity, and if she did everyone asked where Grandma Kathy was. In her free time, Kathy enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with family, and of course shopping. Family was important to Kathy and she appreciated those who gave their time to her all the way to the end. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday October 29, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a blessing service held at 7:00 p.m. at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Parkinson’s Foundation.

I remember Kathy so well from Stephen’s, she was so personable, so friendly, always taking such good care of the customers and always so impeccably styled. I was incredibly saddened to hear this news. May many happy memories comfort the family during this difficult time.

It was genuinely an honor to take care of her at the Grand. She was a very lovely lady who was always so nice to the workers. There are not words that are good enough to describe Kathleen! She and I always had a good connection, always one of my favorite residents. She was definitely one funny lady and she knew it.
