Kevin Shawn Hunt

Kevin Shawn Hunt, age 58, of Hico, WV passed away April 6, 2024.
He was the son of Joseph “Buddy” Hunt and Mary Joann Hunt of Winona.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Joann Hunt, brother Paul Hunt and grandson Remington Carte.

Those left to cherish his memory are father Buddy Hunt of Winona; partner Lisa Carte of Hico; stepsons Eric (Ashley) Carte and Tanner (Felicia) Carte of Hico; grandson Landen Carte who was his little buddy and sidekick granddaughter Eliza who had grandpa wrapped around her little finger and Kaylie and Karlee who was always the entertainment; siblings Sheila (Frank) Ferguson of Hico, Joey Hunt, Larry (Tina) Hunt and Brian Hunt, all of Winona. In laws Jamie Coleman, Georgia (Kevin) Bennett and Tommy Joe (April) Coleman of Hico; Numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog.
Kevin also had two biological children Amanda (Bryan) Kevlar and Shawn Hunt of Ohio and two granddaughters Kayleen and Addison.

Kevin loved the outdoors but spring was his favorite time of the year. Spring meant the big cat fish were biting on New River, fishing was his favorite thing to do in his spare time. Spring also meant spring gobbler season and the magical morel mushrooms popping from the warming ground. He also had a love for photography. He attended Midland Trail High School and was an employee at the Humane Society of Raleigh County.

A celebration of life will be held at the Nuttall Community Center and the Nuttall Fire Department on May 5, 2024 from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm. A closing service will be held at 3:00 pm by Rev. Brett Spencer.
