Linda Ann Pasternak

Linda Ann Pasternak of Upper St. Clair, PA passed away surrounded by family on Monday, January 14, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Betty Ann and Charles Atkinson. Beloved wife to Greg Pasternak for 45 years. Loving mother to Michele (Joe) O’Kane and Jennifer (Dave) Mays. Cherished grandmother to Andrew, Thomas, Madison, and Morgan. Loving sister to Maureen and Bob (Rita) Atkinson.

Linda was a proud volunteer at St. John Capistran Church. She also had a passion for knitting and sewing baby blankets, costumes and other special items for family and friends. She was involved in school and sports activities.  She enjoyed traveling with family in the United States and Europe.  Most of all, Linda loved spending quality time with her grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 from 9-10:30 am at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317 (724) 260-5546.  A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. John Capistran, 1610 McMillan Rd., Upper St. Clair, PA 15241.  Inurnment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

Greg: Thank you for letting us know of Linda's passing. We don't get much outside news down here in Washington, PA. We were shocked of the news and had no idea of your and her situation. We feel terrible, but that cannot approach the feelings of you and your family. We will keep you and Linda in our prayers and hope for the best for all of you. Please know that we were very fond of Linda and have some pleasant memories with both of you. You were among our favorite friends. Weather permitting, we hope to attend the gathering on Monday. Dear Greg, Michelle,Jennifer, Maureen ,Bob and family, Calvin and I were saddened to hear of Linda’s passing. We have such wonderful memories of her and we enjoyed when she was able to visit with us in Raleigh. We enjoyed all he notes on her visits with her beautiful grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, other, grandmother, sister and cousin and she will be miss tremendously by us. I tried to make arrangements to be there and I am so sorry it did not work out.
