Margot Anne (Mulligan) Vaughan, age 87, of Canonsburg, PA formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on November 21, 2023.

Born on April 23, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Margaret A. (Gleason) Mulligan.  She was the loving mother of Bob, Dan and Maureen; grandmother of Adriana, Ryan and Xavier; and dear sister of John (Jack) and Paul.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Callie.

Margot was a voracious reader and crossword lover, and enjoyed participating in Jeopardy at home.  She was a multi-year winner of the annual Spelling Bee held at the Canonsburg Senior Center.  She smoked for years and was very proud of kicking the habit over 30 years ago.

She graduated from St. Paul Cathedral High School in 1954.  She was an expert at shorthand and excelled as a legal and medical secretary.  Her final and favorite position was as Secretary to the Chief Magistrate of the City of Pittsburgh.

Margot will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  All services will be private.

Margot was my aunt, and I always remember her with a smile on her face and a joke at hand. She was smart and funny and irreverent, and I am sad to learn of her passing. My deepest sympathies to Bob, Dan, Maureen, and Ray.

She was always kind to us even though we were a little out of hand on occasion. This brings back a lot of great memories on Howe street. She raised some pretty amazing children.
