Sean Douglas Toliver, 50, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 13, 2020 with his family by his side. Sean was born November 15, 1970 in Sewickley, PA and is the son of Douglas and Dr. Brenda J. Toliver.

Growing up in Pittsburgh, he was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Steelers. He attended the former Faith Community Christian School in Bethel Park and graduated in 1988. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and is a proud plank owner of the USS George Washington. After being honorably discharged, he continued his work as a computer technician.

Sean had a wonderful personality, huge sense of humor, and a smile that would light up a room. He was also carefree but highly intelligent. He is survived by his father Douglas (Phyllis) Toliver and his mother Dr. Brenda J. Toliver. His characteristics will live on in his 3 children, Olivia (Jack) Sage of Dallas City, Illinois, Sean Douglas Toliver II, and Alexis Toliver, both of Frederick County, Maryland. He is also survived by grandchildren, Shianne, Xander, and Callie of Dallas City, Illinois; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.

The family wishes to share his spirit of giving to be an organ donor, so his love and personality can live on. Due to COVID the family will celebrate his life with a memorial service in Pittsburgh at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. I am very sorry to hear about Sean's death. He was a real joy to work with when I started at the Allegheny County Department of Human Services Area Agency on Aging. He was one of the first people I got to know there before he moved on to bigger things. A super fun and funny guy, I know the other folks who worked closely with him will miss his sense of humor and work ethic. God bless you Sean. Rest in peace.

Sean was a good friend who taught me many things. He was like a big brother and protector and always looking out for me when we were in school at Faith. My prayers go out to all his family. May God grant you all the peace that passes understanding at this time.
